The Athletic 2024 NFL Draft Livestream

This year, Detroit proudly hosted the 2024 National Football League (NFL) Draft, and we were thrilled to welcome The Athletic, a leading sports news platform celebrated for its comprehensive coverage and expert analysis. Among them was renowned draft expert Dane Brugler, and their team set up shop in our Building 22 broadcasting studio for a dynamic two-day live-streaming event.

Thanks to the exceptional efforts of Tony Whitlock, Chris Butterfield and the rest of the Display Group team, The Athletic’s draft coverage reached new heights. The stream peaked at 8,500 simultaneous viewers and garnered over 50,000 impressions on Thursday night alone—a testament to our team’s capability to deliver dynamic and engaging live content.

Our studio was buzzing with activity, featuring a live scrolling ticker, continually updated graphics, and seamless live interviews via Zoom, enhancing the viewer experience far beyond previous years.
