In our latest blog entry, we’re thrilled to unveil the behind-the-scenes magic that led to the phenomenal success of UWM’s Annual Holiday Party, an event that recently captivated over 5500 attendees at The Suburban Collection Showcase in Novi, Michigan. This event, not just a gathering but a spectacle, marked yet another year of Display Group’s partnership with UWM, each year escalating in creativity and grandeur. The event shone even brighter with live performances by The Chainsmokers and Kelsea Ballerini, adding a star-studded touch to the evening — with each of Display Group’s three divisions contributing to the event’s success.
Orchestrating Premier Audio-Visual Brilliance
Display Group’s Audio/Visual experts in high-end audio and video production took the lead in creating an immersive sensory experience. Their mastery in lighting, rigging, and integrated lighting solutions transformed the venue into realms beyond imagination. Each themed room – Ice, Air, Water, and the Galaxy – was given a distinct color treatment and lighting design, enhancing the thematic essence. “Our goal was to merge technology with art, creating enchanting spaces that resonate with the theme. From the crystallized clusters in the Ice room to the interactive LED waterfalls in the Water room, our team crafted experiences that were not only visually stunning but also emotionally engaging,” shared Noah Balanda, Experiential Video Producer at Display Group.
Designing Dreamlike Environments
Our team of designers brought their extensive inventory of rental furniture and decor into play. Their ability to create custom decorations added a personalized touch to the event’s overall ambiance. “Each room was a canvas, and our decor pieces were the strokes that brought the theme of nature to life. From the curated lounge vignettes to the dimensional façade archway, our designs aimed to create a seamless blend of elegance and thematic consistency,” explained Sara Corneliussen, Lead Designer at Display Group.
Sculpting the Extraordinary
To add the final touches to this one-of-a-kind event, Display Group’s skilled Custom Fabrication team demonstrated its prowess in 3D fabrication, crafting awe-inspiring elements that added depth and dynamism to the event. Their creations ranged from life-size models to intricate structures, each resonating with the natural elements theme. The division’s contribution was crucial in adding an element of surprise and interactive engagement for the attendees.
Together, these Display Group teams synergized their talents and expertise to produce an event that was not just a celebration, but a journey through the elements of nature. Each division’s contribution was integral in creating an atmosphere that was both enchanting and memorable, showcasing Display Group’s ability to turn visionary concepts into tangible realities. As Sara Corneliussen aptly said, “This event was a testament to our collaborative spirit and our dedication to pushing the boundaries of event design.”
